wcr comes to town

wcrCalgary chef Liana Robberecht, a long-time member of the Women’s Chefs and Restaurateurs (WCR) organization, led the uber-successful conference in Calgary last year–the first time WCR held an event outside the USA. Edmonton restaurateur Bobbi Beeson was at the Calgary conference. Now, she is spearheading an info session Sunday, September 25 to launch WCR in Edmonton. The organization, started in 1993 by eight top American chefs and restaurateurs, is the place for every sort of culinary professional–line cooks, chefs, somms, food artisans and manufacturers, farmers, food writers, consultants and students –to find inspiration and support. Calgary hosts the 2017 WCR conference next fall and we would love to send a busload of #yeg members to it. WCR Plug-in 3pm-5pm at the Rocky Mountain Ice House, 10516 Jasper Avenue, RSVP bobbi@cheesecakecafe. http://womenchefs.org/
