Planting this weekend? Think of adding a few extra rows for Edmonton Meals on Wheels (EMOW). As many of EMOW’s clients can’t plant a garden or get to the farmers’ market, this is the next best thing. Donations will be used in daily meals or cut and frozen for future meals. All the root veg (potatoes, onions, carrots, beets) as well as rhubarb, zucchini and celery are accepted. No squishy tomatoes, fruit, squash or fresh herbs. At harvest time, call 780-429-2020 to make a drop-off appointment (appointments necessary due to Covid19 safety regulations).
