The Butternut Tree’s head chef Bryce Wyman is moving on to new adventures across the pond. But, before he goes, one last amazing dinner: Fermented Farewell: An Ode to Edmonton, a culinary tribute to his time and the inspiration and growth he found at The Butternut Tree. Kick off the season with a night of winter celebration—live music, winter activities, food, and community magic at All is Bright on November 15, from 4-8 pm on 124 Street, between 107 Avenue and 109 Avenue. Then, from November 15–22, explore immersive illuminated art installations lighting up 124 Street and area, every night from 4-8pm.

Join your favourite vagabonds, chefs Christine Sandford and Roger Letourneau on the Alpine Express departing November 6 until January 4. Discover the flavours of the European alpine—the Italian Alps and the Dolomites, the Bavarian Alps and the Vosges Mountains—reimagined with Canadian ingredients. The à la carte menu? Think cozy—fondue, beechwood-smoked raclette. Don’t let the Preserves Trolley pass you by. It holds all the fun things—accompaniments by Lessig Ferments. Can’t wait for it to snow. The Zenari folks are moving into Zocalo (10826 95 Street) to create a wine bar/café with aperitivo-style snacks, opening early November.
Drift Food Truck has a new walk-in location at 4823 99 Street to pick up their delicious soups and other frozen goodies. If that’s not convenient, you can find Drift items at Bon Ton Bakery, The Italian Centre Shops and Popowich Meat Co. and at the Shamrock Curling Club for the upcoming winter season.
