Bender Week

One of our favourite winemakers, Andreas Bender from the Mosel, is in town for a series of tastings and dinners August 25-30.

Meet Andreas at Color de Vino (9606 82 Avenue, http://www.colordevino.ca/) between 2pm -5:30pm on Friday afternoon. He’ll be pouring some of his luscious Mosel Rieslings, his Pfalz Pinot Noir and we hope the bubble.

Joining Andreas at a patio party that night is Jürgen Wagner from the Catalan wine producer Cellier des Capçanes (Montsant, near Tarragona); food by Kitchen by Brad. There may

still be a few tickets: Tickets: $100, http://kitchenbybrad.ca/wordpress/blog/

Thursday night Jürgen Wagner will be at a tasting at the Wine Gallery, 10930 119 Street. Tickets, $20. www.winegalleryedmonton.ca.

On Sunday, August 28, 2 pm until 5 pm – Andreas and Jürgen will be at Privada, 21 Perron Street, St. Albert, 780-569-5479). Enjoy eight wines with six courses with food by Privada’s excellent chef Tony Krause. Tickets, $85, http://shoutout.wix.com/so/6LQK2tmB#/main
