the glass monkey patio is open table’s number one
The Glass Monkey (780-760-2228, 5842 111 Street, http://www.theglassmonkey.ca) is the number one YEG patio pick on OpenTable’s Top 100 Canadian Patios 2018. We love it too. Secluded, lots of greenery and not too big, it’s a great place to have dinner.
savour the county
Celebrate the local fusion of art, music and, of course, food with Savour (401 Festival Lane, strathcona.ca/savour) in Sherwood Park. Don’t miss the food trucks—tacos from Casa 12 Doce, the Yorkshire pudding beef dip wraps at Benny’s Yorkshire Shack, or Truckin Good Eatz, Sunday, July 8, 4pm-8pm. Admission is free, food tix are $1 each, in multiples of 5.

a market with heart
The Green & Gold Community Garden Market at the University Farm (https://www.greengoldgarden.com) grows over 60 types of vegetables organically. It has heart—all profits are donated to the Tubahumurize Association, an organization that supports Rwandan women. Green & Gold opens this Saturday, June 30, from 11am-1pm. Regular summer hours are Tuesdays, 7pm-8:30pm and Saturdays, 11am-1pm.
