Kitchen’s menus this month celebrate Mardi Gras. Order tonight’s Jambalaya with chicken and sausage by noon. Next week it’s red beans, Cajun sausage and rice. Order here. And Friday’s soup and a bagel carries on the Marci Gras theme on Feb 18 and 25. Remember $5 from every dinner goes to the VAD program at the Maz, even more important during Heart Month.

We continue to learn that local food is better for our economy, our health and our planet. Support your regional farmers with seasonal veg and meats from the farmers’ markets, by participating in a CSA and visit restaurants that work with local farmers. At the grocery store, check the package info (BC apples vs Washington for example, Alberta pork, bison and beef, BC fish).
