fu’s court, a love letter to chinese mall food : everyone deserves a special night

“Carmen and I both work in the food industry as line cooks. Like many within our industry, we cannot afford to attend the events we put on. For this specific event, we wanted to celebrate Chinese mall food. The food court was our gateway to international cuisine. For Carmen, growing up in a small town, one of the only accessible places for Chinese cuisine was the food court,” -Anna Lee. Tix: April 16, 4pm seating. Fu’s Court, A Love letter to Chinese Mall Food is in collaboration with Hungry Zine, a community-focused zine centering radical food stories, art and culture. Their April issue, MALL FOOD, is a special issue all about the food court culture at WEM, published in collaboration with the Mitchell Art Gallery at MacEwan University.
