The hearty meat pie called tourtière is a delicious Quebecois holiday tradition. Café Bicyclette (8627 Rue Marie-Anne Gaboury) offers a delicious all-beef, frozen, ready-to-bake tourtière, $35+ each. It’s made with Chatsworth Farm beef, potatoes, tomatoes, maple and spices. You can pick up at the café or, if you want more than one, or to be sure of availability, email exec chef Joseph Vuong to order.

Chartier’s toothsome tourtière is made with Sych Homestead bison, Irvings Farm Berkshire pork and Sunworks Farm organic chicken, $40+. You might be able to buy in person at Mother Bakery or Chartier in Beaumont, but better to preorder here.

If you want to make your own, try chef Serge Belair’s mom’s recipe. Joyeux Noël!
