wurst party at waldhaus for oktoberfest
One of our favourite dining spots in Banff is Waldhaus, tucked away in the woods behind the Banff Springs. And Octoberfest sounds like a terrific reason to visit—the Waldhaus Wurst Party is happening Saturday, September 20. After a river walk enjoy Bavarian-inspired games, starting at 11am, along with curry wurst, loaded kartoffelpuffer (German potato pancakes), or a Holstein schnitzel sandwich from the all-day outdoor kitchen. Get into the Oktoberfest vibe after your hike: the keg will be tapped at 3pm, with entertainment by a live oompah band, followed by Oktoberfest trivia from 9-10pm, and a DJ and dancing until 1pm. Expect at least one version of the chicken dance. Prost! Book your reso here.
