Hors d’oeuvres from Deluxe Burger and they will be collecting donations for the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation. Next up is Aligra Wine & Spirits (423 8882 170 Street in WEM) holiday open house, Tuesday, December 3, from 5:30-8:30 pm with light appetizers to enjoy as you sip, shop and socialize. Looking for all the kudos with a little less work? Sugared and Spiced Bakery (10334 82 Avenue, 780-2253, sugaredandspiced.ca) offers a tasty gingerbread house kit. The kit includes six gingerbread house pieces, three colours of sprinkles, a house-made icing mix and a piping bag. They bake the pieces every few days, so you know they will be super fresh, as if you did it yourself. Available until December 22, or until sold out, $18.
the next sunday supper club is all about cognac
The Sunday Supper Club at the Marc (9940 106 Street, 780-429-2828, themarc.ca) continues with a multi-course dinner, 5pm, Sunday, December 15 featuring several Jean-Luc Pasquet Cognacs. This family producer, in the Grande Champagne area of Cognac, has farmed organically since 1995. The distillations have complex aromas and flavours, fruity, rich and round. Tix: $125 all in, call to book. The Marc’s first ever Holiday Brunch happens Sunday, December 29. No details yet, but you know it’ll be good.
