Celebrate the start of the holiday season at Three Vikings Pub (10713 124 Street) from noon on Friday, November 1. For over 40 years, Danish beer lovers have celebrated the release of Tuborg’s Julebryg (Christmas beer) on the first Friday of November. It’s not possible for it to be shipped from Denmark in time, so the folks at Three Vikings asked Longroof Brewing to make their own version. Yes, it’s delicious and yes, it’s only for a limited time. Don’t forget to wear your blue Santa hat.

Mai Mai Viet Street Kitchen is now set up in a brand-new space at Sea Change Brewing Co’s OG Taproom (9850 62 Avenue). The menu is beer pairing heaven—spring rolls, bang bang wings, phries (pho flavours, but with fries). Must try: the banh mi pho dip, a Vietnamese-style grilled, pho-braised beef brisket banh mi with sriracha mayo, a hoisin BBQ sauce, crispy fried onions and pho broth for sipping and dipping—so tasty with the crisp Death Wave Light Lager or the new Death Wave Non-Alcoholic Light Lager, if you are not partaking.
