The Old Red Barn (25518 Township Road 490, Leduc County) has a slew of Farm to Table dinners, tastings and events planned for this summer. Coming up on Saturday, July 13, enjoy saskatoon picking at the Carder Family Farm, a tasting with Familia Brewery and dinner by chef Jesse Chambers. The dinner on Thursday, July 18 features Alberta beef from Fellowship Farms and chef Rui Carvalho. Tix: $160/p+

the green and gold is now open

The Green & Gold Community Garden is now open Saturdays from 11am-1pm for now, Tuesday evenings coming soon. Expect early season veg, such as lettuce, kale, bunching onions and haskap berries. This garden runs on volunteers and all the proceeds go to support the Tubahumurize Association in Rwanda.

RGERD’s partnerships with Central Alberta’s farming community began in 2011 with their inaugural farm dinner. Enjoy the original to table experience again this summer: wood-fired food, exceptional wine and beverage pairings, rambles and stories in the field and glorious prairie sunsets. Each course features ingredients found steps away from the table. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres followed by a multi-course dinner with beverage pairings, gratuity included. Tix: $205/p, 4:30 pm, Sunday July 21 at Riverbend Gardens and 4:30pm, Sunday, August 11 at Lakeside Farmstead.
