Meet Julie Duflos, export manager from Burgundy’s Maison Chanzy, at a drop-in tasting this Friday at Bin 104 (5454 Calgary Trail) from 4pm-6pm. Maison Chanzy has 80 ha in the Cote du Beaune, Cote du Nuit and Cote Chalonnaise. Julie has a background in marketing and wine trade and tourism. Her passion for Burgundian cultural knowledge and winemaking brought her back to her roots after stints at vineyards in Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania.

it’s official: sabor group’s new resto in the union bank building.
It’s called Roca and will offer a coastal-inspired menu on the main floor, with private dining rooms on the lower floor. “Bringing Roca by Sabor to the Union Bank building is an incredible opportunity to create something truly one-of-a-kind, showcasing the brand of hospitality we’ve become known for,” said Christian Mena, Sabor Group. “The combination of a stunning historic space and a fresh new dining experience is something we know Edmontonians and visitors will love.” The Union Financial Corporation is behind the project, renovating the historic 1910 building for its new offices on the two upper floors. Expect Roca to be fully operational in spring 2026.
