Meuwly’s offers its fabulous smoked ham—whole muscle, honey-brined, beechwood-smoked in several sizes (always go up a size to ensure ham sandwiches and pea soup after the holiday). Pick up on Saturday, October 11 or Sunday October 12 (state your preference when ordering). Order here.
RGE RD has a feast of savoury items on offer for Thanksgiving—a fresh whole or half turkey; smoked heritage pork hams and prime rib. All the sides—mashed potatoes, two kinds of stuffing sausage rolls and dinner rolls, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and several cheeses from Lakeside Farmstead to round out your menu. Meadow Creek Farm offers Thanksgiving in a Box: large chicken, a bone-in ham, 15 lbs of mixed veggies, with delivery between October 4 and 8. Order here.

Three Vikings offers a classic Thanksgiving spread—roast turkey with gravy and a cranberry apple sage stuffing (aka dressing or, as my friends the Smo’s say; packing) seasonal veg, cranberry sauce and pumpkin tart. Email to order by midnight Thursday, October 9 and pick-up Saturday, October 11 from 11:30am-4pm.
A Cappella Catering is well known for its lavish and varied seasonal offerings. This year you can order the Thanksgiving Take & Bake (serves four-six generously, order by 3pm, Friday October 3) or the Everything but the Bird package (all the delicious sides); or the Thanksgiving Buffet for 10 or more. Now we can shop the farmers’ market almost every day. The Side Door (10310 83 Avenue) opened at the Old Strathcona Farmers Market this week. We’re not sure exactly which merchants will be there, but we’ll find out Tuesday through Sunday from 10am-6pm.

The Final Hurrah: A Celebration of Local Flowers is an opportunity to say goodbye to summer at Blooms on 7. Bring your funkiest container, fill it with up to 100 stems and enter a chance to win two free u-picks in 2026. Bring a packed lunch to enjoy with the alpacas (local beverages available for purchase). Saturday October 4, from 1pm-3pm.
