dinner at the butternut tree
Check out the new Butternut Tree (9707 110 Street, 780-760-2271, thebutternuttree.ca). Complex seasonal flavours; all-Canucky wine list (we had the fine Culmina Unicus) in a serene atmosphere with a glassed-in kitchen and incredible river valley views; with accomplished, easy-going service; and the dishware is whimsical local pottery by Viva Clayworks. People of a certain vintage will remember this space as Crackerjacks.
