a taste of pampanga at filistix
The menu features Kapampangan batchoy soup; sipo (quail eggs, shrimp, jicama, peas, carrot); pork asado, sisig (grilled pig jowls and ears with onion and chile); bringhe rice (like paella) and a deliciously rich dessert called tibok tibok. Ariel from Filistix tells me it’s made with rice flour, milk, coconut cream and latik (toasted coconut milk curd) similar to a custard but with no eggs and is traditionally made with water buffalo milk. We love the feasts Filistix brings to the table—a way to learn something about Filipino culture thought its food. A Taste of Pampanga is available for pre-order until 8pm Thursday, March 11 and picked up Saturday March 13, 4-6pm. Dine in available between 6-8pm, reservations are recommended. The feast is $70/two or $140/four. Order here.
