buy garlic to help ukraine
Mandy Melnyk of Meadow Creek Farms and her cousin Zina Nendze want to help the people of Milijeve. The western Ukrainian town has become home for over 1200 people fleeing the fighting in eastern Ukraine and people like Zina’s family in Milijeve have been helping to feed, clothe and find somewhere for them to live.
Here’s how you can help. “We have a beautiful garlic harvest this year and we want to support Milievo,” says Mandy. Order a bag of Meadow Creek Farms Garlic (about six large heads) by email mandy@meadowcreekfarms.ca or online www.meadowcreekfarms.ca. From every $30 order, $5 will be sent to Milijeve. Orders can be picked up (call Mandy to arrange at 780-650-2047), or delivered in Edmonton and Fort McMurray, or sent via Canada Post.
