visit with the winemakers, virtually
RGE RD is having two unique online dinner and tasting events; June 13 is sold out but there are still a few tickets available for the live online tasting with winemakers Filipa Pato, William Wouters and chef Blair Lebsack, Saturday, June 20, 1pm. The event includes Zoom invite, two bottles of wine and the RGE RD charcuterie board. (And yes, Filipa is Luis Pato’s daughter, so you know the wines are sublime.) Tix: $90/p+.

The Downtown Market on 97 Street has opened the second floor for the summer season. Pop by Dauphine for delish baked goods—brownies, muffins, tarts, quiche, pastry and breads. Have coffee at On the Edge Coffee; ice cream and candy at Spun Sugar; vegan chocolates and supercharged smoothies at Nest Whole Foods and a toothsome pie at Meat Street Pies. Enjoy it all in the seating area (tables are spaced 10 feet apart) from each other. The opening of the upper floor means that up to 100 customers are allowed in the market, which cuts wait times and makes for speedier shopping. Woo hoo!
