juu.ku open, spier wine farm and faber vineyard dinners, steak masters at chop, plus recipe of the week: chef kaelin whittaker’s rhubarb muffins

juu.ku is now open!

Juu.Ku, chef Andrew Fung’s ode to the flavours of his Hong Kong childhood, is now open. It’s a dream of a room, lush and intimate, with spectacular art by Tim Okomura. Highlights from the opening: the crispy sushi bite with spicy tuna, king salmon and ponzu sauce (we predict this is the new tuna twist); the lamb sui mah with chili oil and sweet soy glaze; hanging out at the sushi bar with chefs Jack Lee and Hiroyasu Kitaura. Open daily with dim sum from 10am on the weekends. Absolutely delicious food in a stylish atmosphere right next door to XIX in Terwillegar (5944 Mullen Way). Check it out!
