Zinc chef Doreen Prei is this year’s Fire Master Champion, on the Food Network’s Firemasters. Woo hoo! Chef took home bragging rights and $10,000 by preparing three outstanding dishes: bún chả with ground pork and pork belly; beef stripling with farro risotto and charcoal lobster mushrooms, and the final Greek Taverna dish: smoked eggplant puree with rack of lamb, grilled feta salad, charcoal shrimp and dessert—barbecued filo pastry tart with salted honey, fresh figs, pistachios and whipped yogurt cream. Culina To Go has expanded their take-out selections with ready-made hot dishes, salads and sandwiches as well as frozen soups, TV dinners, entrees (such as their delish roast chicken dinner), cold drinks and desserts (and Little Bear Gelato) for pick-up at the Oliver Exchange, Tuesday-Saturday, 10-6pm.

The Italian Centre Shops are open, restricting numbers of shoppers and the cashiers are now protected with plexiglass shields.
